Programme Summary

The School of Engineering (SoE) through Civil Engineering Department in collaboration with National Construction Industry Council (NCIC) is inviting players in the construction industry to a short course on Concrete Practice and Technology.

Fees:

MK 250,000/ participant

• The fee covers morning refreshments, lunch, tuition and Laboratory consumables

• Fee payment is strictly through bank deposit. The bank details will be indicated in the offer letter

• Payment must be made in advance

Intended Learning Outcome:

On completion of this course, participants should be able to design normal and high strength concrete mixes.

Indicative content:

• Concrete constituent material characterization through theory and practicals

• Computation of concrete mix design using recognized international standards

• Laboratory Preparation of trial mix designs

• Testing of concrete trial specimens

• Analysis and Interpretation of concrete test results

• In-situ concrete quality assurance

Note: At the end of the course, each participant will be given a certificate of attendance.

Accommodation will not be provided.
